To disassemble the HJ605CC, you will need a S14 socket wrench or a pair of pliers as well as a Phillips head screwdriver.

Proceed with the following instructions:

1. Unscrew the nut on the cam-lock and remove the bolt
2. Next, remove the remaining screws on the telescopic lock, and remove one side only of the telescopic lock housing
3. Open the telescopic lock assembly, move the ratchet locking mechanism to the side, and separate the lower pole from the telescopic lock 
4. Close the telescoping lock assembly housing, replace the screws and cam-lock bolt, and tighten
