How should I maintain and care for my Bug Zapper?

Cleaning the Collection Tray:
- Unplug the bug zapper and rotate the collection tray counterclockwise to remove it from the housing
- Empty tray with the cleaning brush, then rinse and dry it. Avoid touching insect remains by hand
- Return the collection tray back into the bottom of the housing. Rotate clockwise to lock it in place
Electric Grid Cleaning:
- Unplug the device and un-hang the bug zapper. Allow it to sit for 30 seconds for the electrical charge to dissipate.
- Gently brush loose the dead insects on the electric grid through the open slits in the housing with the cleaning brush. NOTE: Never use water to clean the grid as this can damage the electronics.
- After brushing, the dead insects should collect in the collection tray below. Empty it as shown in (Fig. 3).
- Hang the bug zapper back up and plug it in to get back to zapping.
WARNING! The exterior housing of bug zapper does not require cleaning. Do not attempt to clean the housing with water, solvents or any other liquids.
WARNING! When cleaning the electric grid, only use the included cleaning brush to avoid any risk of shock or injury. Ignoring this warning may result in death or serious injury.
